Archives+ set up their stall at Crumpsall Carnival. Fancy dress didn’t feature, but children could practice their Victorian copperplate handwriting with a real dip pen and ink.
Visitors to their stall were able to look at a variety of photographs of Crumpsall’s past from the archives’ collection.
This type of summer event is a great way to promote the work that we do and the wealth of information and history preserved in the archives. It also gives us the chance to tell people about Archives+ and their return to the newly refurbished Central Library, planned for Spring 2014.
